Here I Go Again.

Things seem to be slipping quickly back into old patterns. I was so enthusiastic at the beginning of this year, but everything is spinning fast out of control and I have no clue how to stop this train wreck. A friend keeps telling me to stop over thinking things and worry about the IDPs of Swat instead. Sound advice, but it doesn't always work. I haven't needed to vent in a long time, once again, I have no clue what I'm doing, and that scares the shit out of me.

It has taken me exactly a year and a half, but I think I've finally figured out what this blog is meant to be. This is my message in a bottle. My quasi-anonymous attempt at just chucking my thoughts out there. Whether anyone ever finds the bottle or ever reads the message is irrelevant, what matters is that it's out there, and just knowing that makes me a little nervous but also oddly proud. Opening up myself and my writing to criticism is something that, over the years, I'd completely forgotten how to do, but slowly I seem to be getting the hang of it again. Kind of.
